Under-served by the tier-one vendors, for the same reason the Northeast was. That is a market we recognise.
Central India gets treated by the large vendors roughly the way the Northeast does: too far from the metros to be worth a visit, too small on paper to be worth a proposal. We know that market from the inside, because it is the one Meta Mint was founded into. A manufacturer in Indore or a trading business in Raipur running on spreadsheets is not there because nobody built the software — it is there because nobody bothered to come and sell it to them properly.
The practical consequence is that projects here often start further back than elsewhere. There may be no existing system to migrate from, no internal IT person, and no previous experience of a software project to set expectations against. So the sequencing matters more than the feature list: a first module that earns its keep quickly, then the next, rather than a twelve-month programme that has to be believed in before anything works.
The industry mix is distinctive too. The mining and steel services economy around Raipur and Bilaspur brings contractor, plant and materials tracking; Indore and Bhopal bring SME manufacturing, distribution and a growing private healthcare sector; and agri-trading across Madhya Pradesh brings seasonal, commodity-led stock and pricing that generic retail software handles badly.

With one module that pays for itself, not with a plan for everything. Usually that is billing or stock, because both produce a visible result in weeks and both force the master data to get cleaned up, which the rest of the system will need anyway. Once that is running and your staff trust it, the next module is a much easier decision for everyone.
It is normal, and in some ways easier than replacing a bad system. Spreadsheets we can usually import directly once the columns are agreed. Paper takes a decision about how far back to go — we would generally migrate your customers, items, suppliers and current balances in full, and leave historical transactions on paper rather than pay someone to type in six years of it.
